Great targets. Fun to use and easy to see hits

These are great high visibility targets for a good price. I like to stick them on over targets that have already been shot. The size (5.5 inches) is appropriate for either rifle or pistol targets. Big enough for 7-15 yard pistol targets and easy to hit at 100 yards with a rifle. Sticking one of these on a 100 yard target also makes it a bit less likely that someone in the next lane will shoot your target by accident on a tight range.

Using these stick on targets makes my paper targets last longer and target changes are quicker. Sometime I'll stick several of these on a large paper target or backer to reduce the need for frequent target changes. Very easy to stick on and easy to see. The orange color is easy to pick up with a scope or iron sites and the "splatter" pattern that forms around hits make your bullet impacts much easier to see. Even .22 LR leaves a good mark that I normally wouldn't be able to see at any distance. I have to admit that shooting up these targets and seeing the big splatter patterns form is more fun than just punching small holes in paper targets. I use them primarily for pistol targets. I keep a set in my range bag at all times to supplement my other targets.

targets are self adhesive and apply easily to your backer board.
definitely prefers clean and dry surfaces. poor adhesion on even mildly damp cardboard.
despite this you can just use a staple gun or some masking tape to mount it.

resulting impact dont seem as bright as the shoot-n-see brand targets, but still a good alternative for the price and bulk quantity.

Hard to See .22 Bullet Holes

These are okay splatter targets, but I can't give them more than 4 stars. I recently put up two targets to sight in my .22 rifle at 100 yards with a 2x-7x scope. On the top I put a competitor's target, the green and black Splatterburst, and on the bottom I put one of these Caldwell Orange Peel targets. With the scope set at 7x I could clearly see the holes in the green and black Splatterburst, but I really had to strain to see the holes in the Caldwell target. It was clear to me that at 100 yards with a .22, the Splatterburst targets are superior as far as easily seeing the bullet holes.

I do like these Caldwell Orange Peel targets for close range work, like 10-25 yards with a pistol, and that's what I'll use them for. At 50 to 100 yards with a .22 rifle, though, the bullet holes are just too hard to see.

I have several packs of these in various sizes, from 2" to 6". I use them for everything from air guns to large bore revolvers. They're all good, and the price is right. They're especially useful for sighting in, as they make it MUCH easier to see where your shots hit. At about 24 cents each in the 50-pack they're a reasonable value, too.

Great for sighting in a scope or red dot. Sticks to most anything, I use usb board for posting targets and it sticks to it just fine. My old eyes can't see too many targets past 25 yards but I can make out if I hit the paper. Good targets, easy to see the hits. I would recommend them
for anyone who has trouble seeing the hits on a regular paper target.

Caldwell's Orange Peel targets are among the best, as well as the most economical, of the current crop of paper targets designed to emphasize the bullet holes through a visual effect. Far easier to see on a rifle range than simple holes in paper, these targets provide instant feedback on a shooter's accuracy. The peel and stick backing allows for these to be easily adhered to any target surface, although you won't be able to peel them off and hang them as trophies on the wall of your living room.

These are easy to see, hits are visible enough to see from 50 yards or less with the naked eye. Targets can be seen even greater distances if you are using a scope. Sticks well to most surfaces. I use old folder file paper or corrugated cardboard to adhere targets to.

Not as good as Splatterburst targets

The target sticks well to paper and chip board. It is easy to see at 100yds and beyond, however same cannot be said about the holes in the target. I can't see .22 holes even at 25yds without magnification.

I usually use Splatterburst targets (also from Amazon) and I have no problems seeing .22 holes in those targets even at 50yds with a naked eye.

The holes are clean though and if you don't mind using binoculars or a spotting scope then these will do better than most plain paper targets. They just aren't as good as Splatterburst targets.
