They are 99% near perfection. If they were to round off the edges at manufacturing, I would have given it 5 stars.
It is a bit pricey. But at this time, it is the only push button 7 round speedloader available in he market place. If you are not in a hurry, I would wait a bit. I think this item will drop down in price as other 7 shot speedoaders come out. But if you need one right away, it works, however, it works better if you wound off the edges where the retaining round spring sits.
I prefer this to the HKS, because I really like the push-click/positive-action feel of the Speed Beez. You can load almost to horizontal with the SB, so you don't need the cylinders straight down, because you're pushing and holding the rounds in with the loader and the click tells you you're done. For the HKS, I find I always have to hold the gun cylinders straight down, line up the rounds (they're toed-in and don't line up -- for me, at least -- as well as the Speed Beez does, in my experience), twist, and let the rounds drop into place, via gravity. They don't necessarily do that together, so it's a little loosey goosey for me. I like the positive feel of push-click.
Cons: Yes, it's bigger and, since the thin spring is holding the rounds in, if you drop it, they can fall out. I recommend not dropping it. The HKS speed loaders are smaller and I do like their 2-loader holster. Also, the Speed Beez is 3 times the price of the HKS's, so I bought a set of those HKS's, mostly for the range use.
So, for me, a better, more positive action/feel with the Speed Beez, but, yeah, bigger and, maybe a little less secure if you drop it.
